本周末全天 MAY 16 & 17 @Live Oak Park, Berkeley

自1983年以来，喜马拉雅节（Himalayan Fair）已经成为伯克利延续四十多年的文化传统。今年这个周末，来自西藏、尼泊尔、不丹、印度、巴基斯坦、阿富汗、缅甸等喜马拉雅地区的社区成员，将再次相聚在一起，共同庆祝这片山脉孕育出的多元文化风情与艺术展演。

Join us this May as our beloved community festival returns to Live Oak Park in Berkeley to celebrate 40 years.

A beautiful weekend full of delicious food, amazing vendors and artisans sharing unique handcrafted items, music and dance from local Bay Area Artists sharing the best in World music, and a positive and welcoming community to enjoy it with.

从古老民谣到现代融合音乐，从传统服饰到当代艺术，这里不仅是一场节日，更像是一座跨越语言与边界的“喜马拉雅集市”。

作为伯克利最具代表性的社区文化活动之一，Himalayan Fair 最初由登山家与气候科学家 Arlene Blum 与 Lama Kunga 于1983年共同发起。受到喜马拉雅沿线传统 bazaar（集市文化）的启发，他们希望在伯克利建立一个属于不同文化、音乐与社区相遇的空间。

四十多年后的今天，喜马拉雅节仍在继续。
