Who Are We?

Star Shiner Initiative is a Chinese youth group in the San Francisco Bay Area. We focus on spreading and discussing news, viewpoints, and artwork censored in China today. We seek to shine the stars by hosting free speech, transcribing public events, reclaiming citizenry, and building a socially conscious local diaspora community together. We regularly host workshops, screenings, and art exhibitions, and more!
