这部纪录片在2013年进入了叶海燕的生活，当时，她和几名以女性为主的行动者，正在抗议当局对一名被控性侵六名女学生的男子判刑过轻。那是一场正义而又危险的抗议，成了一个良心的象征。最终它展现了一些悬而未决的问题，一些惊悚的、令人毛发倒竖的时刻，还有尘土飞扬的道路上叶海燕和女儿令人难忘的身影，以及她的热诚。
